Merit Badges

  • We strongly encourage Scouts to open certain Merit Badges that can mostly be completed at home, for example: Family Life, Personal Management, Physical Fitness, and the others listed here:
  • Merit badges for social distancing: 58 badges Scouts can complete at home
  • In addition, Mrs. Trolenberg is now certified to teach the American Heritage Merit Badge online, see her Troop 14 Facebook Post for more information
  • If you would like to open a Merit Badge, please follow the Troop 14 Merit Badge Procedures and email the Scoutmaster

How to use Zoom?

Download app to your phone or to your desktop, create a free account

Zoom: https://zoom.us/

  • You can still join us on the virtual Zoom meetings if you do not have WiFi. If you do not have WiFi access, but you can get cellphone coverage at your home, you will be able to either:
    • Use your phone and the Zoom app for video conferencing – or –
    • Use your cell service Hot Spot and Zoom using your computer (or iPad)

Although these options are not the “perfect solution,” it is our hope that all Scouts will be able to participate in the weekly virtual meetings and activities.
